South Dublin Live is a vibrant programme of performances across all art forms, bringing people together in local spaces across South Dublin County to connect through culture and creativity, while providing a platform for artists to present their work.
South Dublin Live 2026 is a programme of indoor and outdoor events, taking place between 30th May and 18th September 2026.
Invitation
Proposals for events to be part of the South Dublin Live 2026 programme are now invited from:
- Pofessional performers and producers; (ensembles or individuals) based in South Dublin County
- South Dublin County Cultural Organisations and South Dublin County Community Centres
The deadline for proposals is Thursday 30th April 2026 at 4pm.
We are interested in proposals from artists and producers at all stages of their careers, from emerging to established, living in South Dublin County, showcasing work they have created and/or produced.
Proposals are welcome across all genres of performance, including music, dance, theatre, spectacle, circus, and street arts. From small-scale solo and unplugged performances to larger amplified events, a wide range of formats will be considered. Outdoor performances are particularly encouraged.
In this form, you are asked for a full description of the proposed event.
There is an option to answer this question either in text form or to skip to the next question and give your answer by video.
Conditions:
- Proposed events must be in the cost range between €500 and €5,000.
- Events must take place between Saturday 30th May and Friday 18th September 2026 inclusive.
- Applications may be for a single event or a series of events.
- All events should be either free of charge or have a nominal charge.
- All applications must be in line with public health considerations.
- Events should be scheduled into controlled public performance locations.
- Successful applicants will be provided with logos and wording to acknowledge this funding.
- Successful applicants will be required to liaise with SDCC Arts Office Programme Manager and Social Media Manager.
- The deadline to submit proposals is Thursday 30 April, 4pm. Late applications will not be accepted.
Applications must include:
- Brief relevant biographies of the performing artists / ensembles / producers and any ancillary staff. (max 500 words)
- Description of your event in writing (max 500 words) or by video (max 4 minutes)
- Details of the event location
- Agreements with venues and/or performers where appropriate
- The date of the event
- Details of production/staging
- A detailed budget including the fees and costs e.g. performing artists; event management and production staff; production costs; promotion costs; venue hire (where relevant, this is not an exhaustive list)
- Any other income including ticket sales and other grants
- Risk assessment; Public Liability insurance and indemnity of South Dublin County Council
- Images for use in promotion including confirmation of permission for their use
Selection
Programme events will be selected by South Dublin County Arts Office, as programme director, to ensure a variety of genres, a geographic spread of events around the County, and a spread throughout the duration of the South Dublin Live programme which runs between Friday 31st May and Sunday 3rd November inclusive.
